TL;DR
Senior Manufacturing Engineer-Welding (Manufacturing/Welding): Designing and developing factory transformation processes, equipment implementations, and welding and brazing manufacturing systems with an accent on productivity, quality, equipment performance, and regulatory compliance. Focus on optimizing manufacturing flow lines, resolving welding process problems, conducting cause-and-effect investigations, and implementing standardized work and safety-compliant equipment.

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States; onsite five days per week

Annual base salary: $75,700–$156,200

What you will do

  • Design and develop manufacturing processes for factory transformation projects and equipment implementation.
  • Improve productivity, product quality, equipment performance, energy consumption, and downtime.
  • Provide welding and brazing process expertise and resolve manufacturing process and product design problems.
  • Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, station controls, tooling, fixtures, routings, and cycle times.
  • Lead cause-and-effect investigations, statistical studies, corrective action planning, and standardized work development.
  • Ensure welding processes and equipment comply with applicable codes, regulations, and OSHA safety requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with project management, process automation, and AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Manual and robotic MIG and TIG welding experience.
  • Knowledge of ASME, AWS, and PED code compliance and familiarity with pressure vessel welding processes.
  • Ability to coach, advise, and develop teammates and peers.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred; equivalent practical experience and relevant skills are considered.
