Manufacturing Engineer Senior - Welding/Fabrication (Manufacturing)

Salary: $82,900–$134,300 per year

What you will do

• Own detailed manufacturing processes, routings, master data, time studies, manufacturing bills of materials, and engineering changes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned welding and fabrication processes and provide technical guidance to production.
• Lead projects and process improvements using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Balance station cycle times, select tooling and equipment, and support equipment planning and capitalization.
• Determine complex weld fixturing and operation sequences, and prepare PQRs and WPSs with support from the facility CWI.
• Collaborate with design engineering on corrective actions and update ERP data for accurate cost and labor calculations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience.
• Experience welding aluminum and steel, with and without automation.
• Knowledge of industrial engineering methods, lean tools, and machining and fabrication methods for bar, extrusion, and sheet metal.
• Experience with equipment planning, ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, and 2D/3D CAD; Siemens NX is preferred.
• Experience handling EAR-99 and ITAR documentation; certain positions may require U.S. Person status.

Nice to have

• CWI certification.
• Experience with fiber laser cutting, press brakes, CNC mills, band saws, and lathes.
• Strong drafting, communication, detail orientation, and problem-solving skills.
