Manufacturing Engineer - Welding

Location: McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, United States; based in a manufacturing or production environment.

Salary: $73,200.00–$117,800.00 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, review, and improve welding procedures in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Support welding automation through cost analysis, programming, and systems integration.
• Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, and production builds.
• Review and recommend fixture and tooling designs, and optimize equipment and workspace layouts.
• Process engineering changes and continuous improvement requests.
• Manage projects or project components, including cost studies, time estimates, technical proposals, and quality delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering or a related field.
• One to two or more years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of heavy fabrication manufacturing or welding automation.
• Ability to navigate and interpret welding codes and understand GMAW equipment and related welding processes.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment with noise, dust, moving machinery, temperature fluctuations, prolonged standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of equipment manufacturing or automotive manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma tools.
