Manufacturing Engineer - Welding

Location: McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite in a manufacturing or production environment

Salary: $73,200–$117,800 per year

What you will do

• Develop, evaluate, and improve welding, fabrication, and production processes.
• Review welding procedures against applicable codes and standards.
• Support welding automation through cost analysis, programming, and integration.
• Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, and production builds.
• Review fixture and tooling designs and analyze equipment layouts and workflow.
• Manage projects or project components, including change processes, cost studies, estimates, and technical proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or a related field.
• One to two or more years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of welding codes and GMAW equipment and processes.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work safely around loud noise, dust, moving machinery, temperature fluctuations, and physically demanding production activities; required PPE must be worn.

Nice to have

• Experience with heavy fabrication manufacturing or welding automation.
• Experience in equipment manufacturing or the automotive industry.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
