Intermediate Software Developer (Go)

Location: Remote within the United States or Canada; employees must work from their home country and be ready to travel for in-person engagements.

Salary: $123,000–$172,000 USD annual base for US-based roles; C$111,000–C$155,000 CAD annual base for Canada-based roles.

What you will do

• Build and ship authorization features, product improvements, and bug fixes in Go.
• Own small-to-medium-sized projects from planning and implementation through testing, release, and post-launch support.
• Develop and maintain Unified Authorization, cross-product authorization APIs, and supporting services.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to testing strategies and documentation.
• Review code, share context, and collaborate with Identity Services, Authentication, Trust Platforms, customer support, and other partners.
• Investigate production issues and help prioritize customer feedback.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Go and the tools and technologies required to work independently.
• Experience with authorization or identity systems and a solid understanding of access control and permissions.
• Ability to navigate an existing codebase, reuse established patterns, and propose improvements.
• Commitment to testing, maintainability, code clarity, and clear technical documentation.
• Strong communication and a collaborative approach, including sharing progress, raising blockers, and incorporating feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting production systems and participating in on-call or incident response rotations.
• Familiarity with developer workflow improvements involving tooling, CI/CD, testing, or documentation.
