Principal Process Engineer / Customer Technologist

Location: Santa Clara, CA; Austin, TX; or Phoenix, AZ. Full-time role with approximately 25% travel. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $172,000–$236,500 per year, with potential bonus and stock award eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead resolution of complex semiconductor process and technology issues using advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and DOE methodologies.
• Advise strategic semiconductor manufacturing customers on process optimization, technology adoption, and long-term technical solutions.
• Design and evaluate customer demonstrations, technology evaluations, beta programs, and joint development activities.
• Support new technology introductions, technology transfers, process customization, and customer application development.
• Influence product strategy by identifying technology gaps and recommending process and hardware improvements.
• Present technical roadmaps and business recommendations to customer executives and senior leadership while sharing best practices across global teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or equivalent experience; MS or PhD preferred.
• 8–15+ years of semiconductor process engineering or technology development experience.
• Customer-facing support experience for wafer fabrication accounts.
• Experience with technology transfer, process integration, yield improvement, and new product introduction.
• Experience with Logic, DRAM, NAND, or advanced packaging.
• Knowledge of DOE, JMP, Minitab, SPC, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, 8D, FMEA, Fishbone, and hardware/process interaction troubleshooting.
