Manager - Production Maintenance (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Long Beach, California; residence within commutable distance required

Annual base salary: $140,200–$243,000

What you will do

• Develop Maintenance Group Leaders and coordinate plant-wide maintenance activities.
• Manage major machine repairs, equipment modifications, and retrofits in stamping and welding operations.
• Improve MTTR, MTBF, equipment performance, and daily KPIs for safety, quality, productivity, and team development.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance processes to prevent unplanned downtime.
• Coordinate weekend work, shutdown-period maintenance, changepoint management, and assigned hoshin activities.
• Provide technical and problem-solving support across maintenance, production, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline, or 5+ years of equivalent engineering or plant maintenance experience.
• Maintenance or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory experience with direct reports or equivalent senior-level production experience.
• PLC experience with Toyopuc, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar systems, including Ladder Logic troubleshooting.
• Technical skills in mechanical, electrical, controls, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering degree.
• CAD and CATIA experience with 2D and 3D drawings.
• Automotive manufacturing experience in stamping, welding, or painting.
• Experience with hirify.global Ringi, project budgets, TBP problem solving, PFMEA, or RJ development.
