Senior Director, Applied AI - US Commercial

Location: United States, New York City; onsite 2.5 days per week. Must support the EST timezone and hold permanent U.S. work authorization.

Annual base salary: $214,900–$358,100, plus a 22.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Shape enterprise and domain-level AI strategy and connect initiatives to measurable business and transformation outcomes.
• Design AI operating models, target technology landscapes, architecture principles, and decision frameworks.
• Lead portfolio-level architectural trade-offs across platforms, initiatives, and reusable capabilities.
• Define standards for AI architecture, solution design, evaluation, governance, integration, reuse, and modularity.
• Stay hands-on with architecture and code reviews involving modern AI and agent frameworks.
• Lead engineers, contractors, and vendor partners, managing scope, quality, security, performance, spend, and delivery.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in AI, data, or software architecture at enterprise or multi-domain scale.
• Experience shaping enterprise strategy and architecture direction around measurable business outcomes.
• Current ability to read, write, build, and review code with modern AI and agent frameworks.
• Experience leading full-time engineers, contractors, and vendors in delivering production-grade systems.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML, generative AI, system architecture, data architecture, software engineering, governance, and operating-model design.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in large regulated enterprises such as pharma, healthcare, or finance.
• Knowledge of AI guardrails, retrieval architecture, observability, and monitoring.
• Experience with AI strategies, roadmaps, transformation programs, vendor budgets, or statements of work.
• Recognized internal or external thought-leadership presence.
