Senior Business Analyst – Finance Systems & Business Solutions (Oracle)

What you will do

• Partner with Accounting, Treasury, Land, and FP&A stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business and functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, process flows, and gap analyses for development teams.
• Support Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne finance modules and Oracle Hyperion Planning, HFM, or Essbase processes.
• Lead or support UAT for system enhancements, upgrades, and implementations, including test plans, execution, and defect tracking.
• Coordinate with technology teams, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC through deployment and post-go-live support.
• Improve finance workflows, reporting, data accuracy, controls, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of business analysis experience supporting Finance, Accounting, or FP&A functions.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance processes, including general ledger, treasury operations, land/job costing, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne finance modules and Oracle Hyperion.
• Experience writing functional specifications, conducting UAT, and managing requirements documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, process-mapping, and communication skills across business and technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in homebuilding, real estate, or land development finance.
• Familiarity with SQL or data-querying tools.
• Experience with SDLC or Agile methodologies and tools such as GitHub, JIRA, or Confluence.
• Experience with Oracle upgrades, implementations, or M&A finance system integrations.
• Six Sigma, PMP, or CBAP certification.
