Senior Director, Business Analytics & Operations

What you will do

• Design and own the operating cadence for the Research leadership organization, including executive meetings, business reviews, and board reporting cycles.
• Act as a senior operating partner and trusted advisor to the VP, Business Management & Strategic Programs, and support the EVP and GM, Research.
• Build the Business Analytics function, including KPI frameworks, pipeline accountability mechanisms, and integrated executive dashboards.
• Apply advanced analytics to revenue scenarios, behavioral signals, and strategic decision-making.
• Lead cross-functional programs, align resources, resolve dependencies, and track milestones across Technology & Operations, AI & Data Analytics, Legal, and Finance.
• Prepare executive-facing materials and support operating model changes, strategic pivots, and initiative transitions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in business operations, analytics, strategy, or a combination of these areas.
• Experience supporting P&L-owning or senior executive leaders through operating rhythms, cross-functional alignment, and executive communication.
• Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, dashboard development, KPI frameworks, and translating complex data into decision-ready insights.
• Experience building an analytics function, defining data standards, and influencing data engineering teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including board-level materials and executive ghostwriting.
• Experience managing complex, multi-workstream programs across functions not directly managed.

Nice to have

• Experience in a global technology or comparable professional services organization.
• Background in academic publishing, research technology, open access, or scientific information.
• Experience using AI tools to improve operations, analytics, and reporting workflows.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
• Experience working across time zones and cultures in a global organization.
