Data Consultant (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the USA; Chattanooga, Tennessee

What you will do

• Conduct ongoing and ad hoc research and analysis on business performance, data anomalies, claims projections, and industry trends.
• Support development and maintenance of the historical claims database used in actuarial premium-rate processes.
• Summarize findings and present data-driven trends and insights clearly to peers, leaders, and business contacts.
• Collaborate with business contacts to develop effective product and process solutions.
• Complete data requests accurately and on schedule, maintaining thorough documentation for process and data changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or research discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in reporting, data analysis, or a similar field.
• Experience retrieving and analyzing data from relational databases using SQL and SAS.
• Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly, work independently with minimal supervision, and manage multiple assignments with critical deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to maintain professional relationships with vendors and external partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python.
• Experience leveraging AI technologies and tools to improve efficiency, insights, or decision-making.
