Master Control Operator (Broadcast)

Location: 900 Sylvan Avenue, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United States. On-site role supporting a 24x7 broadcast environment, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Salary: USD 55,000–70,000 per year

What you will do

• Operate live sports and broadcast master control in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage commercial playlists, program changes, marketing changes, traffic integration, and reconciliation logs.
• Monitor and maintain the continuity and availability of linear, streaming, and VOD networks.
• Perform control-room duties including Technical Director, Commercial Integration, and Associate Director responsibilities.
• Ingest and quality-check on-air content for streaming platforms and linear networks.
• Monitor, recover, and troubleshoot live network operations while maintaining on-air reliability.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in an on-air broadcast environment and live event broadcasting.
• At least one year of experience with television production, broadcast operations, and news, sports, or entertainment technical production.
• Knowledge of switchers, routers, communications, ingest, automation, and cloud-based systems.
• Experience with ingest and quality-control processes, automated real-time systems, and digital video and audio troubleshooting.
• Strong troubleshooting, processing, communication, teamwork, leadership, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Availability for scheduled nights, weekends, holidays, and other shifts required by a 24x7 on-air operation.

Nice to have

• BA or BS in a related field.
• Experience with work rules and scheduling.
