Director of Event Technology II (Audio-Visual Events)

Location: Fort Myers, Florida, United States; on-site work at the Sanibel Harbor Marriott hotel/convention center, including irregular hours, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage.

Salary: $56,100–$72,920 per year.

What you will do

• Manage revenue, profitability, labor, equipment costs, billing, forecasts, and P&L for assigned venue operations.
• Lead daily event operations, including scheduling, equipment setup, operation, strikes, inventory control, and safety procedures.
• Develop sales strategies, prepare quotes and proposals, support site visits, and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with venue personnel, customers, vendors, and internal departments throughout event delivery.
• Oversee audio-visual technical execution, troubleshooting, equipment readiness, and on-site customer needs.
• Manage staffing, performance, selection, training, coaching, and development for event technology team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of audio-visual experience and 2+ years of operations or supervisory experience.
• 3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live show environment.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, software, the Internet, and Microsoft Office.
• Effective leadership, customer satisfaction focus, and a valid driver’s license when operating company vehicles.
