Technical Lead (Video)

Location: Hotel, convention center, event venue, and warehouse environments; work may take place across multiple hotel locations.

Hourly pay: $24.00–$26.00.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and break down intermediate audiovisual equipment for small- to large-scale events.
• Monitor events and meet with guests on site to confirm that equipment and event needs are being handled properly.
• Resolve equipment and software issues quickly and anticipate technical challenges.
• Lead, mentor, and coach other technicians on customer service standards.
• Coordinate equipment with staff and outside vendors, complete system entries and paperwork, and finalize invoices with clients.
• Use floor-up-selling techniques and support revenue growth.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an associate’s degree is preferred.
• 2–3+ years of audiovisual experience required.
• 2–3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Technical 1-Star Certification required for internal applicants; external applicants must achieve it within 60 days of starting.
• Valid driver’s license required for positions operating company vehicles; additional DOT requirements may apply.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work around electrical equipment, heights, noise, outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand, and dust.
