Translator, Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) - 100% Remote - Contract (Financial Services)

Location: 100% remote; current work authorization for Canada is required. Toronto office listed.

Salary: CAD 36–55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Translate French materials for financial, marketing, advertising, and other organizational needs.
• Edit, proofread, and approve French content in consultation with managers.
• Review translations produced by internal and external resources to ensure accuracy, quality, terminology, and style.
• Coordinate project timelines with internal partners and escalate unresolved issues when needed.
• Research financial and industry terminology using government and specialized sources.
• Maintain and improve internal terminology databases and glossaries while monitoring language trends.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of translation experience, preferably in financial services or a related industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation from a recognized institution or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills in English and French.
• Knowledge of financial markets and terminology.
• Ability to translate accurately in both languages and adapt language style appropriately.
• Strong organization, self-management, initiative, and ability to work with minimal direction.

Nice to have

• Membership in ATIO, OTTIAQ, or another recognized professional association.
• Proficiency with machine translation software, including GlobalLink.
• Participation in promotional videos for digital content.
