Translator (Finance)

Location: 100% remote; current work authorization for Canada is required. The posting also references the Toronto office and flexible remote, hybrid, and in-office arrangements.

Salary: CAD $36–$55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Translate French financial, marketing, advertising, and other materials for Fidelity Clearing Canada.
• Edit and proofread French content produced internally and externally.
• Review and approve French-language materials in consultation with managers.
• Coordinate timelines with internal partners and escalate unresolved issues.
• Research financial terminology and maintain Fidelity’s terminology base and glossary.
• Monitor French-language trends and ensure content meets industry and brand standards.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of translation experience, preferably in financial services or a related industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills in English and French.
• Knowledge of financial markets and terminology.
• Ability to translate accurately in both languages and manage changing priorities independently.
• Current authorization to work in Canada is required.

Nice to have

• Membership in ATIO, OTTIAQ, or another recognized professional association.
• Proficiency with machine translation software, including GlobalLink.
• Experience participating in promotional videos for digital content.
