Contracts Manager - Payor, MCO, and Medicaid Focus (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Participate in contract negotiations with payors, MCOs, Medicare Advantage plans, and government programs in partnership with sales.
• Coordinate with legal, finance, compliance, business development, product, and commercial teams.
• Manage the repository of executed contracts, including key terms, renewal dates, and deliverables.
• Monitor compliance with contract terms and support dispute and audit resolution.
• Lead cross-functional contract implementation projects and support healthcare market access strategies.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of progressive experience managing healthcare-related contracts.
• Experience negotiating, drafting, and managing payor, MCO, and Medicare Advantage agreements.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, reimbursement methodologies, CMS guidelines, HIPAA, and state Medicaid regulations.
• Understanding of value-based care, capitation, fee-for-service, Stars, CAHPS, and risk adjustment programs.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects, managing stakeholders, developing timelines, and reporting status to leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree required; JD, MBA, MHA, and contract management or PMI-PMP certification are preferred or advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience with elder care markets, digital health, assistive robotics, AI-enabled healthcare solutions, or remote care delivery.
• Experience with Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, or Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans.
• Experience in startup or high-growth environments.
