Employee Benefits Specialist (Insurance)

What you will do

• Support Benefits Relationship Managers in servicing employee benefits customers.
• Assist with customer onboarding by collecting and reviewing documentation for completeness.
• Handle daily customer service requests, enrollment additions, terminations, and changes.
• Prepare and edit employee benefit guides, manuals, communications, compliance documents, and renewal paperwork.
• Support benefits benchmarking, reporting, analytics, marketing, renewals, and alternative renewal presentations.
• Communicate with insurance carriers about billing discrepancies and simple claims issues.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain active Life, Accident & Health licenses or obtain them in the state of residence within the first 3 months.
• At least 1 year of employee benefits experience and a thorough understanding of employee benefits.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, written and verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma and excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
