TL;DR
Staff Engineer (Flutter) (Mobile and Web Engineering): Building high-performance production applications and enterprise business solutions with an accent on Flutter architecture, reliability, and performance. Focus on designing complete systems, leading engineering teams, developing against REST APIs, and improving scalability through CI/CD, monitoring, and modern design patterns.
Location: Bethesda, MD; hybrid work. Flex allows working from anywhere in the US for up to four weeks per year.
Annual salary: $115,000–$230,000.

What you will do
- Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering areas and teams.
- Own complete technical solutions throughout their life cycle.
- Shape product and engineering vision with product managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
- Lead design sessions and code reviews while ensuring solution quality, usability, performance, availability, and protection.
- Build and maintain Flutter and Dart production applications and features within large codebases.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices across teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience with mobile and web frameworks or SDKs.
- Production experience with Flutter and Dart, plus expertise in at least two modern programming languages including Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Dart.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, dependency injection, state management, reactive programming, architecture, and design patterns.
- Experience with testing, debugging, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, REST APIs, monitoring tools, and performance assessment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or experience.
