Staff Engineer (Flutter)

Location: Bethesda, MD; hybrid work arrangement. hirify.global Flex allows working from anywhere in the US for up to four weeks per year.

Annual salary: $115,000–$230,000

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering areas and teams.
• Own complete technical solutions throughout their life cycle.
• Define architecture and design for enterprise-class business applications.
• Lead design sessions and code reviews while ensuring solution quality, usability, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to solve complex problems.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience in mobile and web frameworks or SDKs.
• Production experience building applications with Flutter and Dart.
• Expertise in at least two of Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Dart.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, dependency injection, state management, reactive programming, architecture, design patterns, testing, and debugging.
• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, REST APIs, application monitoring, and performance assessment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or experience. New employment authorization sponsorship is not available.
