TL;DR
Repair Technician (Climate Equipment): Repairing and refurbishing hire fleet equipment, including chillers, pumps, motors, and heat exchangers, with an accent on fault diagnosis, mechanical repairs, and workshop standards. Focus on troubleshooting complex equipment issues, safely disassembling and reassembling systems, and supporting the refurbishment program.
Location: Southampton, Hampshire, UK — on-site five days per week

What you will do
- Troubleshoot faults across the hire equipment fleet.
- Strip down, repair, and reassemble chillers, pumps, motors, and heat exchangers.
- Replace components and complete equipment repairs.
- Support the equipment refurbishment program.
- Maintain high workshop, housekeeping, and health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Competence with basic hand and power tools, strong problem-solving abilities, and basic IT literacy.
- Ability to perform manual handling duties in line with health and safety guidance.
- Good teamwork, listening, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency using a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Confirmed right to work in the UK and a valid UK driving licence.
Nice to have
- Mechanical Engineering qualification or completed apprenticeship.
- F-Gas Category 3 certification.
