Finance Collections Intern (SaaS)

Location: Fully remote from Colombia, with the option to join the Medellín office.

What you will do

• Contact customers by phone and email about outstanding invoices and overdue balances.
• Answer payment-related questions and negotiate payment solutions and agreements.
• Follow up on payment arrangements and maintain accurate customer and payment records.
• Build positive relationships with clients during collection conversations.
• Support Accounts Receivable activities and finance-related projects.
• Identify improvements to collection efficiency and customer experience.

Requirements

• Currently studying Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, International Business, or a related field with accounting content.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish required.
• Confident communication skills and comfort with phone calls and difficult conversations.
• Organized, proactive, resilient, and able to manage multiple follow-ups.
• Interest in building a career in Accounts Receivable or Collections.
• Availability for a full-time internship lasting approximately 5–6 months.

Nice to have

• Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, sales, call centers, or collections.
• Experience with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Exposure to ERP or accounting software.
• Dutch or German language skills and experience with international customers.
