QA Engineer I (AI)

Location: Fully remote, with the role listed in Charlotte, NC

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Develop and maintain automated UI and API test frameworks and suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Enhance AI skills, rules, and agents within the testing framework.
• Create test plans and test cases from software requirements and design specifications.
• Implement end-to-end, integration, component, and API tests using Playwright and Postman.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster feedback.
• Analyze test results, resolve defects with development teams, and improve testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• 1–2+ years of software quality assurance experience focused on automation.
• Experience working with AI and designing test automation frameworks with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Experience with API testing, including Postman and automated API tests.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web application architecture.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Selenium or other testing frameworks.
• Experience with performance testing, security testing, cloud platforms, database testing with SQL, or Agile/Scrum.
