CNC Setup & Operate - 1st Shift

Location: On-site at the Franklin, New Hampshire facility

What you will do

• Set up CNC lathes, milling machines, and related equipment using blueprints, job specifications, and setup sheets.
• Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, collets, work-holding devices, and machine parameters.
• Set and verify work offsets and tool offsets, and perform machine changeovers.
• Coordinate first-piece inspections with Quality Assurance and complete quality and production documentation.
• Troubleshoot tooling wear, fixture, offset, and machine-operation issues.
• Support CNC operators, continuous improvement initiatives, and consistent machine operation after setup.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience setting up CNC lathes and/or CNC milling machines.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of safety standards and company policies.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move around the manufacturing floor, lift and push or pull up to 30 pounds, and wear required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of CNC setup experience in a production environment.
• Experience diagnosing and replacing worn tooling.
• Knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
