Location: Remote in the US, with consideration for candidates based in San Diego, CA, or at the South San Francisco office; travel 15–25% may be required for in-person training.
Salary: $130,000–$148,000 USD for remote US candidates; $140,000–$146,000 for San Diego-based candidates; $150,000–$175,000 for South San Francisco-based candidates. Additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units may be available.

What you will do
- Develop, update, and execute comprehensive onboarding and advanced training curricula for sales representatives in written, video, classroom, and virtual formats.
- Lead new-hire onboarding, training calls, classroom sessions, ride-alongs, and ongoing training for sales and other business-unit employees.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, and other stakeholders to create training modules for new resources, products, product extensions, and markets.
- Conduct gap analyses, assess training effectiveness, create proficiency and competency assessments, and provide performance feedback to Regional Sales Directors.
- Support annual brand and tactical planning while ensuring training materials receive MLR approval and comply with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of successful experience in commercial sales training or an equivalent medical, biotech, or pharmaceutical environment.
- Four-year degree in business, life sciences, healthcare, education, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with commercial medical sales into physician offices, preferably in the IVD or LDT space.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies for onsite and virtual training.
- Strong coaching, communication, presentation, project management, time management, collaboration, and strategic agility skills.
- Fluency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Salesforce.
Nice to have
- Regional or national sales trainer experience.
- Experience supporting breast cancer oncology products, diagnostics, or related therapeutic areas.
- Experience developing, implementing, and facilitating sales training programs for field-based commercial teams.
- 2+ years of experience.
