General Counsel (SaaS)

What you will do

• Develop and lead legal strategy, risk management, and compliance across all operating jurisdictions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex B2B SaaS agreements, MSAs, DPAs, and vendor contracts.
• Advise product, engineering, and security teams on data protection, intellectual property, and sensitive data risks.
• Partner cross-functionally to provide practical legal support aligned with business needs.
• Develop policies and procedures that strengthen regulatory and business compliance.
• Supervise and coordinate outside counsel when needed.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and membership in good standing of the candidate’s state bar association.
• 10–15+ years of relevant legal experience across large law firms and in-house roles at life sciences or technology companies.
• Senior leadership experience and a background handling complex, high-value enterprise contracts.
• Extensive knowledge of the software and SaaS sector and the legal and regulatory environment of pharmaceutical or life sciences industries.
• Experience advising technology product teams, particularly teams building B2B products and services.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, client counseling, and attention-to-detail skills.
