Engineering Lead (TypeScript/React)

Location: London, UK (hybrid) or UK (remote)

Salary: £120,000–£150,000 per year

What you will do

• Contribute across the stack and deliver end-to-end product features through backend or frontend expertise.
• Recruit, manage, and develop a focused team of engineers responsible for a critical product area.
• Design and evolve technical architecture for rapidly increasing scale.
• Lead projects and make product decisions based on customer interactions.
• Represent Product and Engineering values internally and externally.

Requirements

• Experience designing secure, scalable, and reliable backend systems.
• Strong knowledge of modern cloud architectures using GCP or AWS.
• Deep expertise in Node.js/TypeScript or Go for backend development, or React for frontend development.
• Experience hiring and managing a team of Security Engineers and working with cross-functional partners.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas and influence engineering decisions.
• Ability and motivation to lead and grow an engineering team.
