Salary: $86,800–$198,000 annualized USD

What you will do

  • Architect and develop a digital engineering cloud platform ecosystem for the Department of Defense.
  • Apply model-based systems engineering to manage system definitions and technical baselines.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and model digital engineering capabilities and systems.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into architecture models and technical specifications.
  • Identify risks requiring early mitigation and recommend user-experience improvements.
  • Coordinate with Booz Allen colleagues, DevSecOps engineers, and the U.S. Air Force on digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing and architecting large-scale, cloud-based applications, including leading architecture sessions and providing implementation guidance.
  • Experience with MBSE and knowledge of UAF, EA, DoDAF, BPMN, UML, SysML, ERD, and IDEF methods.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, transformation, systems development, governance, and DoD IT compliance requirements such as FISMA or the Clinger-Cohen Act.
  • Ability to understand stakeholder needs, communicate through architecture models, and work on cross-functional teams.
  • Secret clearance required; selected applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.

Nice to have

  • Experience with solution architecture, cloud services, advanced analytics, data science, MI, ML, RPA, APIs, microservices, and user experience.
  • Experience supporting systems engineering and integration for DoD, government, or commercial programs.
  • Agile experience with sprint planning, user stories, tasks, and Jira.
  • Knowledge of IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2 systems engineering standards.
  • Master’s degree or INCOSE SEP and SysML certifications.
