Network/Systems Support Engineer - Athlone

Location: Athlone, Ireland; on-site five days per week. On-site, off-hours, and on-call support may be required for 24x7 manufacturing operations.

What you will do

• Own the day-to-day operation, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support of the manufacturing-control-network infrastructure.
• Act as the escalation point for complex incidents and lead root cause analysis through resolution.
• Engineer, implement, and maintain network and systems changes under change management, cybersecurity, GxP, and infrastructure standards.
• Monitor platform health, capacity, performance, availability, security posture, and service levels, using trend data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with manufacturing, automation, laboratory, infrastructure, cybersecurity, quality, and vendor teams on enhancements, refreshes, and incident prevention.
• Maintain validated manufacturing environments through current configuration, documentation, and operational controls.

Requirements

• BA/BS in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Significant proven experience supporting heterogeneous network and systems infrastructure.
• Experience collaborating across servers, virtualization, storage, backup, networking, identity, cybersecurity, and operations teams.
• Ability to provide on-site, off-hours, and on-call support in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
• Experience with platforms and technologies such as Nutanix, Cisco, Arista, F5, SailPoint, Veritas, Windows, and Linux.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, GxP, or similarly regulated production environments.
