Audit Methodology Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or Remote (USA)

Salary: $170K–$205K base, plus equity and bonus

hirify.global is an early-stage software startup building an AI-powered platform that automates and streamlines assurance and audit work across cybersecurity, privacy, and financial audit.

What you will do

• Define the structure, logic, and content of audit methodologies and engagement templates.
• Translate US GAAS, PCAOB standards, industry procedures, and professional guidance into audit workflows and testing procedures.
• Manage methodology and template ingestion, review, quality control, versioning, and annual updates.
• Partner with AI architects, engineers, and product teams to convert audit standards and practitioner judgment into prompts, workflows, guardrails, and functional specifications.
• Support bespoke methodology implementations and maintain the audit knowledge base as standards and guidance evolve.

Requirements

• CPA certification required.
• 5+ years of public accounting experience.
• Strong expertise in AICPA auditing standards, US GAAS, PCAOB standards, and audit methodology.
• Experience with audit technology, automation, AI-enabled tools, methodologies, templates, or workpapers.
• Working knowledge of quality management and quality control standards, including SQMS 1 and PCAOB QC standards.
• Ability to translate professional standards into structured workflows and collaborate with product and engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in audit methodology or national office roles.
• Expertise in international auditing standards and methodologies.
• Exposure to LLMs, prompt design, or AI-assisted workflows.
• Interest in process improvement and optimization.
