Audit Subject Matter Expert (AI)

Location: London, hybrid collaboration from the London office, with regular travel to the Berlin hub

What you will do

• Act as the audit subject-matter expert in the UK go-to-market unit, supporting demos, pilots, and customer conversations.
• Build and maintain relationships with UK customers throughout pilots and rollouts.
• Lead audit methodology discussions, identify upsell opportunities, and help grow customer accounts.
• Build Cortea's public presence through LinkedIn activity, industry events, and advocacy for AI-supported auditing.
• Share customer and market insights with the product team to improve the UK roadmap.
• Travel regularly to Berlin to collaborate with founders and go-to-market colleagues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of financial audit experience; Big Four or leading mid-tier firm experience is preferred.
• ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent chartered accountancy qualification.
• Strong knowledge of ISA, UK GAAP, IFRS, and the Companies Act 2006.
• Confident client-facing communication skills, including presenting, networking, and public representation.
• Ability to take ownership, work with ambiguity, pursue commercial targets, and build processes in a young company.
• Native English and the right to work in the UK are required; visa sponsorship is not available.
