Business Analyst (.NET)

Location: Washington, DC, with two days per week on site. U.S. citizenship is required, and the role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust government clearance.

What you will do

• Lead structured requirements elicitation sessions with program offices, end users, and technical teams in an agile environment.
• Translate mission needs, legacy workflows, and manual processes into functional and technical requirements for .NET applications.
• Produce user stories, acceptance criteria, business process flows, traceability matrices, release notes, user guides, and training materials.
• Manage backlog items and change requests with the Product Manager, supporting scope, cost, schedule, and sprint planning.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, project managers, QA, and UI/UX designers to ensure requirements are feasible, accessible, and testable.
• Conduct gap analyses and impact assessments while monitoring traceability from initial requirements through deployment and post-release validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of business analysis or technical analysis experience.
• Experience leading requirements elicitation and supporting SDLC activities in an agile environment.
• Experience with .NET application development, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release coordination.
• Experience creating standardized BA artifacts and working with QA on test case development and requirements traceability.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with C#, ASP.NET, API-driven solutions, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, or Jira.
• Ability to interpret data models, database structures, or simple SQL queries.
• Experience with UI/UX collaboration or wireframing tools.
• Experience supporting federal programs or regulated environments.
