Business Analyst / QA Analyst

Location: On-site in Virginia, USA. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews and process discussions.
• Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, workflow diagrams, use cases, and functional specifications.
• Develop and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, and UAT testing.
• Identify, document, track, analyze, and coordinate resolution of defects with development teams.
• Validate data, system outputs, releases, and post-production changes against approved requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, project managers, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC and Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, QA, software testing, or a combined BA/QA role.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, requirements analysis, and functional documentation.
• Hands-on experience with functional and regression testing, test case design, test planning, defect management, and UAT.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills for data validation and testing.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and basic API testing.
• Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Experience in healthcare, financial services, government, or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of automated testing concepts and tools.
