Automation Technician (Automotive)

What you will do

• Develop and implement safe, efficient, cost-effective automated systems for production.
• Assemble, install, program, and troubleshoot new and existing automated work cells.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, robotic, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.
• Execute and improve preventive and predictive maintenance procedures and complete unscheduled production-cell work orders.
• Support cell layouts, quality-check systems, programmable devices, robots, servo drives, and programmable logic controllers.
• Create concise operator instructions and maintain clean, orderly production and robotics areas.

Requirements

• Vocational school training or a two-year degree in automation, robotics, or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of RS Logix, KAREL, vision systems, and basic computer software.
• Self-directed, motivated, and willing to accept responsibility.
• Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours when needed.
• Willingness to attend required training.
