Principal Global SLC Pre-Sales Consultant (Healthcare and Life Sciences)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid workplace.

Salary: £96,600–£193,800 per year, plus eligible incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Support account executives throughout the sales process and own the technical customer relationship.
• Lead technical discovery, gather business and technical requirements, and assess the feasibility and effort of porting SAS code to SLC.
• Review IT infrastructure, ecosystems, and statistical computing environments, providing architectural guidance for SLC deployment.
• Design and conduct pilots, proof-of-concepts, technical evaluations, workshops, software demonstrations, and architecture discussions.
• Provide pharmaceutical-industry expertise in SAS language execution, statistical programming, code compatibility, portability, performance, and modernization.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses, partner enablement, industry presentations, pharma projects, and product roadmap development.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience programming in the SAS language.
• Deep understanding of statistical programming in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Professional customer-facing technical experience in pre-sales, solutions consulting, technical consulting, training, business support, technical support, or a similar role.
• Experience running workshops and designing proof-of-concepts with clear success criteria and structured outcomes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain SAS behavior, compatibility, migration patterns, and performance implications to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.

• Experience with R and/or Python.
• Knowledge of low-code AI tools.
