Design Engineer - Microsoft/Cloud

Location: Remote - United States; U.S. citizenship required. Travel may be required, up to 50% depending on work location.

What you will do

• Support Microsoft-focused sales opportunities as the primary technical resource.
• Partner with Account Executives to identify, qualify, and develop customer opportunities.
• Lead discovery sessions and design Microsoft-based solutions aligned with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Develop solution architectures, technical proposals, statements of work, and customer-facing documentation.
• Deliver executive briefings, technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Collaborate with Microsoft account teams, partners, delivery teams, and internal practice leaders through the sales-to-implementation transition.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in presales engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or related customer-facing roles.
• Experience designing, presenting, and positioning Microsoft solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, and modern workplace technologies.
• Expertise and solution-selling experience in one or more areas including Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Security, compliance, data, analytics, AI, Copilot, or generative AI.
• Strong communication, presentation, technical writing, proposal development, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial, federal, Department of Defense, state and local government, or highly regulated customers.
• Knowledge of managed services, recurring revenue models, Microsoft licensing programs, and commercial agreements.
• Experience working with Microsoft field teams and partner ecosystems.
• Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or related credentials.
