Commercial Manager

Location: Hull, United Kingdom. Full-time onsite work at Hull is required.

What you will do

• Manage commercial and cost control activities for projects and programmes from inception through closeout.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial performance reports, client reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Review invoices, valuations, reconciliations, contract terms, variations, claims, and revised contract terms.
• Establish cost-control and monitoring mechanisms, conduct audits, and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance.
• Support project, operations, delivery, procurement, invoicing, tendering, and finance teams in contract execution.
• Monitor KPI performance, analyze completed projects, and share lessons learned to improve reporting and commercial processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar commercial or financial role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
• Finance degree, recognised accounting qualification in progress, or relevant commercial and financial experience.
• Knowledge or previous use of SAP.
• Commercial awareness, problem-solving ability, and strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while working effectively as a self-starter and team player.
• Availability to work onsite in Hull full time.
