Maintenance Technician I (Bioethanol)

What you will do

• Repair, clean, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment used in bioprocessing operations.
• Maintain boiler, cooling tower, water filtration, grain handling, and other plant systems, including water testing and adjustment.
• Troubleshoot centrifuges, pumps, motors, gearboxes, PLCs, heat exchangers, compressors, conveyors, fans, blowers, and related equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out procedures, document maintenance work and spare-parts inventory in Maximo, and coordinate materials for projects.
• Operate plant and material-handling equipment, including telehandlers, skid steers, tractors, aerial lifts, forklifts, payloaders, and Trackmobiles.
• Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, piping repairs, concrete work, and training for new maintenance team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Documented successful performance as a Maintenance Technician I or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with equipment repair, fabrication, welding, cutting, preventive maintenance, boilers, water chemistry, conveyors, and metal or plastic piping systems.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new programs.
• Ability to work safely at heights, in confined spaces, in extreme temperatures, and indoors and outdoors while wearing required PPE.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role and pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen; random drug and alcohol testing applies during employment.

Nice to have

• Experience with instrument and electrical work, concrete, hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid processes, and schematic drawings.
