Direct Bill Analyst (Insurance)

What you will do

• Process all phases of direct bill reconciliations for retail division offices according to established practices and timelines.
• Collect, transact, reconcile, and record insurance carrier commission statements and payments.
• Analyze and record unearned commissions and resolve commissions remaining in open activities.
• Use software automation to improve process efficiency and identify trends within assigned carrier accounts.
• Collaborate with profit centers to resolve billing errors and maintain effective relationships with carriers.
• Participate in training and continuing education covering insurance products, legislation, coverage, technology, and industry updates.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of accounts payable experience in the insurance industry.
• Working knowledge of financial accounting and applicable state regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
• Proficiency with Vertafore AMS360 products.
• Ability to use standard office equipment, including copiers, printers, fax machines, and binding machines.

• College degree in a finance-related field.
