Billing Specialist

Location: In-office position based in Canton, Mississippi; additional listed locations include Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; New Orleans, Louisiana; and The Woodlands, Texas.

Salary: $22.00–$29.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Manage invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
• Work with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
• Audit billing records, correct errors, and support regulatory compliance.
• Generate billing performance reports and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor industry regulations and help develop billing policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related financial role.
• Proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or an equivalent field.
• Certified Billing and Coding Specialist certification.
• Power delivery or utility industry experience.
