Location: Hybrid role for candidates living within a 180-mile radius of a U.S. hub: Bloomington, Illinois; Richardson, Texas; Dunwoody, Georgia; or Tempe, Arizona. Applicants must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States immediately; U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not available.
Salary: $107,000–$142,000 per year, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do
- Lead cloud spend analytics across a large-scale AWS environment, covering cost drivers, trends, forecasts, and anomalies.
- Develop AI-powered FinOps capabilities, including anomaly detection, optimization recommendations, natural-language insights, automated executive reporting, and decision support.
- Establish cost models for AI usage at token, model, and agent levels to improve enterprise cost transparency.
- Optimize Reserved Instance coverage, Savings Plans, commitment utilization, AWS pricing, and overall cloud consumption.
- Identify idle, orphaned, overprovisioned, and misconfigured infrastructure and quantify optimization opportunities.
- Build dashboards, forecasting models, KPIs, and self-service reporting while partnering with engineering, architecture, finance, data, and governance stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong experience with AWS in large-scale enterprise environments and AWS cost management services, including Cost Explorer, Cost and Usage Reports, and Cost Optimization Hub.
- Strong understanding of FinOps principles and cloud financial management.
- Advanced SQL skills for analyzing large cloud billing datasets.
- Experience building executive dashboards and analytics with Amazon QuickSight.
- Experience with APIs, Python, SQL, infrastructure tooling, or workflow orchestration platforms.
- Strong analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical cloud concepts to engineering and business stakeholders.
Nice to have
- FinOps or AWS certifications.
- Experience with LLM and token-based pricing models, including OpenAI, Claude, or Bedrock APIs.
- Experience developing AI-enabled analytics, automation, policy-based controls, anomaly detection, or automated enforcement.
- Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock, generative AI, prompt engineering, AI governance, forecasting, statistical modeling, or Cloudability.
