TL;DR
Mechanical Engineering Manager (Manufacturing/AI Infrastructure): Leading a mechanical engineering team and converting customer requirements into production-ready 3D models and detailed drawings for modular buildings and power distribution equipment with an accent on technical execution, deliverable quality, and design-to-manufacturing handoffs. Focus on reviewing mechanical designs, managing Engineering Change Orders, enforcing UL/IEC/IBC/ISO compliance, and solving complex design challenges with SolidWorks and advanced manufacturing expertise.

Location: Arvada, Colorado, United States; on-site

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year plus bonus and Restricted Stock Units

What you will do

  • Lead and manage a team of mechanical design engineers through one-on-ones, performance reviews, mentorship, and technical guidance.
  • Own the mechanical engineering work queue, allocate resources, and proactively identify schedule risks.
  • Perform advanced individual-contributor work using 3D modeling to solve complex mechanical design challenges.
  • Review specifications, bills of materials, structural and thermal analyses, detailed drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Lead Engineering Change Orders and maintain product lifecycle data across PDM, PLM, and ERP systems.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and the shop floor on DFMA/DFx reviews, design questions, compliance, and cost reduction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role leading engineering teams.
  • Expert proficiency with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM, with strong knowledge of metals, fabrication materials, and manufacturing methods.
  • Experience solving complex engineering problems using first-principles design and analysis.
  • Knowledge of building codes, energy codes, and UL listings applicable to engineered infrastructure, plus strong cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability to work on site, lift or move up to 50 lbs, meet safety-sensitive operational requirements, and participate in the required drug and alcohol program.

Nice to have

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related postgraduate discipline.
  • SolidWorks PDM Vault Administrator experience.
  • Experience with advanced simulation and analysis software, Lean practices, or continuous improvement in engineering workflows.
