Sr. Associate Counsel (Fintech)

Location: US - San Francisco, CA; hybrid position with office attendance determined by the Hiring Manager

Salary: $180,600–$289,300 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility

What you will do

• Advise product and business teams developing emerging-technology products and initiatives, including agentic commerce, digital wallets, and stablecoins.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements supporting business objectives.
• Review product-related marketing materials, public relations content, and corporate communications.
• Evaluate regulatory developments and their potential impact on hirify.global and its partners.
• Collaborate with regional legal and business teams to resolve regional and local issues.
• Coordinate and supervise outside counsel when required, with focus on timeliness, cost-effectiveness, and work quality.

Requirements

• J.D. degree or international equivalent and at least 5 years of post-J.D. work experience.
• Valid license to practice in the state where the job is located, or ability to become a registered in-house counsel in good standing.
• Experience advising on payments services, including global product launches and complex legal and regulatory initiatives.
• Familiarity with U.S. federal and state payments and privacy laws.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, client-counseling, and business judgment skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and significant workloads independently while collaborating with business and legal teams.
