Sr Controls Technician (DDC)

Location: Flint, Michigan; field-based work at customer locations

Salary: $34.37–$53.18 per hour

What you will do

• Commission, program, configure graphics and communications links, and perform end-to-end testing for assigned HVAC controls projects.
• Troubleshoot, service, diagnose, and repair equipment and direct digital control systems at customer locations.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and project closeout requirements.
• Coordinate with team leaders and customers on installation and repair requirements, building layouts, materials, and on-site schedules.
• Maintain current knowledge of Trane products and enforce safety, security, and asset-accountability standards.
• Work overtime and weekends when required, including occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a certificate from an accredited technical school.
• At least 7 years of HVAC or controls experience; formal technical training is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with an acceptable driving record.
• Previous experience with DDC control systems is preferred.
