Software Engineer - .NET

Location: Fully remote within Spain, with the option to work from the Bilbao office.

What you will do

• Collaborate with a self-organizing, cross-functional product team and work with engineers, UX designers, product managers, team leaders, marketing, and support specialists.
• Design, build, and maintain application features that provide value to customers.
• Establish and follow engineering practices including coding standards, automated testing, code reviews, and pair programming.
• Build scalable, reliable, robust, and maintainable software.
• Contribute to product and business discussions, champion improvements, and take ownership of outcomes.
• Structure daily work independently while supporting innovation and work-life balance.

Requirements

• Proven delivery experience across several software development projects or products.
• Hands-on backend development experience with .NET, C#, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
• Strong computer science foundations, including data structures, algorithms, computational complexity, functional programming, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with modular monolith architectures, clean domain boundaries, cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of web application performance, quality, and security, with willingness to work across backend and frontend technologies including Node.js, React, and Redux.
• English at B2 level or higher and practical experience using AI-assisted development tools responsibly.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with microservices.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL or MSSQL.
