Backend Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Location: U.S. Remote

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Build and operate scalable, highly available backend services using C#/.NET, Azure, Kubernetes, and microservice architectures.
• Develop secure methods for internal services to connect with different cloud service providers.
• Create self-service tools that improve platform supportability and enable other service teams.
• Design event-driven and asynchronous architectures across microservices.
• Own end-to-end delivery, including Terraform infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production incident response.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and platform teams while participating in code and design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least five years of professional software engineering experience with C#/.NET and microservices.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS, Kubernetes, cloud security, CI/CD, and telemetry tooling.
• Knowledge of technologies including Cosmos, SQL Server, ADX, Angular, TypeScript, Go, Python, and Terraform.
• Experience integrating AI/ML systems using the Model Context Protocol or similar frameworks.
• Must be able to work remotely from the United States without requiring current or future U.S. work authorization sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with application registration, API keys, SPIFFE, and Workload Identity Federation.
• Knowledge of Datadog RUM, Grafana, and other observability frameworks.
• Experience with SaaS products, AI-enhanced security, automated policy enforcement, or data compliance management.
• Experience in Agile software development and continuous delivery environments.
