Backend Engineer (.NET) (f/m/d) (.NET)

Location: Munich, Germany; flexible work from home, the office, or in a hybrid setup.

What you will do

• Implement and extend backend services using .NET and Docker containers.
• Develop features end-to-end, from relational database design and business logic to RESTful APIs.
• Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable platform components.
• Monitor production services and identify and resolve issues.
• Write clean, well-tested code, including unit and end-to-end tests.
• Own technical projects and collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and backend engineers in an agile team.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience independently delivering backend features end-to-end in a cloud environment.
• Solid experience with .NET and C# backend development.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Familiarity with message-based or asynchronous systems, microservices, and API-driven architectures.
• Fluent English and the ability to break down, estimate, and deliver work incrementally.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka or other streaming and messaging systems.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, ECS, or cloud-native DevOps practices.
• Experience with performance tuning or database optimization.
• Experience with SaaS or API-first products.
