EC&I QA/QC Inspector (Electrical and Instrumentation)

Location: Onsite in Kingston upon Hull, United Kingdom, based at the PUMA project offices.

What you will do

• Inspect and assess electrical and instrumentation system installations against applicable codes, standards, customer specifications, and the approved Project Quality Plan.
• Conduct visual inspections, identify defects or damage, and document findings and corrective actions.
• Review cable schedules, block diagrams, single-line diagrams, loop drawings, and P&IDs to verify correct installation.
• Witness instrument calibration, cable insulation tests, loop tests, and other equipment testing.
• Work with engineers, project managers, and contractors to resolve deviations and achieve compliance.
• Maintain test records, as-built documentation, handover files, inspection reports, and weekly or monthly QC reports.

Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installations, City & Guilds, or an equivalent qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or an equivalent Level 3 inspection and testing qualification.
• CompEx EX01–EX04 certification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and knowledge of BS 7671.
• In-depth knowledge of hazardous area inspections.
• Ability to work onsite at the PUMA project offices in Kingston upon Hull.

Nice to have

• CompEx EX05–EX06 certification.
