Functional Test Technician (Electrical Systems)

Location: Belfast, County Antrim, United Kingdom

Full-time position with a regular Monday–Friday schedule of 37.5 hours: Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30 and Friday 08:00–13:30.

What you will do

• Prepare test equipment and materials and review specifications, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Perform final acceptance, functional, performance, and safety tests on electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with design and production teams and support corrective actions.
• Ensure testing complies with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare test reports, maintain accurate records, and communicate results to engineers and project managers.
• Contribute feedback and recommendations to improve product design, manufacturing processes, and testing procedures.

Requirements

• HND, HNC, or similar qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience testing electrical systems, preferably in a final acceptance test role.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong PC, MS Office, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and safety skills.
