Maintenance Electronics Technician (Industrial Automation)

Location: On-site in Trenton, New Jersey, 5 days per week; 3rd shift, 10:00pm–6:00am

What you will do

• Maintain and repair machinery, facility equipment, electrical systems, and automation systems.
• Perform electrical repairs and preventive maintenance in coordination with machine adjusters and production teams.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and equipment plans.
• Troubleshoot 240V and 480V three-phase systems, motor control centers, generators, switchgear, control loops, and protective relaying.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical controls using meters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment.
• Maintain and interface with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, drives, computers, and other factory control systems while following safety procedures.

Requirements

• Experience in complex industrial electronics, electrical, computer, and PLC maintenance.
• Competency with Allen-Bradley PLC 5000, PanelView, and SLC 500 equipment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Ability to use multimeters, ammeters, megohm meters, high-potential testers, oscilloscopes, and digital probes.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
