Accounting Support Specialist (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA; work from the Raleigh office at least two days per week.

Salary: $52,000–$65,000 per year; no additional commission-based compensation.

What you will do

• Execute full-cycle accounts payable operations across multiple entities and currencies.
• Partner with Procurement and Treasury to manage financial obligations and support AI-driven process improvements.
• Process international invoices, apply VAT/GST tax treatments, complete GL coding, and perform PO matching.
• Resolve AI-flagged exceptions, monitor error queues, drive process automation, and participate in user acceptance testing.
• Manage global payment cycles, vendor payments, month-end reconciliations, and internal-control requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or at least 3 years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable role.
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems, plus tools such as Zip, Navan, or Brex.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables for data analysis.
• Familiarity with international banking requirements and regional payment methods including ACH, SEPA, and BACS.
• Experience working within automated or AI-assisted financial workflows.
• Proactive, accurate, deadline-oriented, and able to take ownership of independent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative, customer-service focused, adaptable, and able to resolve complex issues with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify systemic issues and propose process improvements.
