Cloud Capability Lead (Azure)

Location: Remote within the UK; travel to client sites and Colibri offices in central London is required.

What you will do

• Lead the design, build, and implementation of complex Azure client engagements as the senior hands-on architect.
• Make architecture decisions, apply security best practices, maintain solution documentation, and provide technical quality assurance.
• Define Azure architecture principles, security baselines, tooling choices, and technical standards.
• Support presales through scoping, estimating, solutioning, proposals, tender responses, and Statements of Work.
• Develop Microsoft partnership competencies, specialisations, and co-sell relationships.
• Mentor Azure specialists and contribute technical input to recruitment and capability growth.

Requirements

• 10–15+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure consulting, primarily designing and delivering Microsoft Azure solutions at architect level.
• Experience serving as a senior technical authority on Azure engagements and influencing technical and commercial decisions.
• Current or recent Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, or equivalent; relevant security, networking, or landing-zone specialisations are valuable.
• Direct experience with presales, solutioning, estimating, commercial proposals, and Statements of Work.
• Experience developing technical standards, skills, and reputation within a consultancy, MSP, or systems integrator without formal line management responsibility.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and technical-writing skills for senior client and partner interactions.
