What you will do

• Prepare technical documents and develop product data for mechanical engineering activities.
• Design and detail mechanical assemblies under supervision, considering manufacturing and production processes.
• Apply engineering requirements and support delivery of design solutions within project schedules and budgets.
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing and supply chain while developing DFM and DFT knowledge.
• Author and release documents through PLM and ECR processes, supporting configuration and change management.
• Perform basic FEA analysis and prepare engineering estimates for individual project contributions.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications, typically a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in the UK without restrictions in accordance with UK National Law.
• Readiness to successfully complete the required level of UK National Security Vetting.
• Understanding of mechanical drawings, British and international standards, and basic electrical, electronic assembly, software, and systems functions.
• Basic understanding of APQP/PPAP engineering lifecycles in line with AS9145 and environmental requirements.
• Good communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft packages and relevant engineering software.
